League One club Peterborough have secured the signature of former Swansea defender Liam Shephard.

The 20-year was released by the Welsh club after the expiration of his contract at the end of the last season.

"Liam is a good lad and a good character, he has bought into everything in the last few weeks and that was extremely important," said Posh manager Grant McCann.

"He can operate in a couple of different positions and I am really happy that we have been able to get it done."
