Swansea City defender Garry Monk has suffered a home burglary while undergoing surgery.
The Daily Mail says burglars have looted the home of Monk while he was undergoing knee surgery.
The 34-year-old has reported the theft of watches, jewellery, laptops, computer equipment, mobile phones and a Swansea kitbag marked with the Number 16 from his property on Gower Road, Killay.
The burglars struck at some point between 9am on Friday and 2.45pm on Monday afternoon - the period he was away having an operation to remove cartilage and bone from his left knee. He is expected to be out of action for six weeks.
