Things have gotten worse for Swansea City in their bid to stay in the Premier League, with two crucial players ruled out for the rest of the season.
The club has confirmed that both Leroy Fer and Wilfried Bony will not play any part in the rest of the games, with the pair sidelined with serious injuries.
They will go for surgery on their respective injuries in the coming week. Both fell down with the knocks in the 1-1 draw against Leicester City on Saturday.
Fer ruptured his Achilles, while Bony has anterior cruciate ligament damage in his knee.
It is a brutal blow for the players, and manager Carlos Carvalhal, who seemed to be doing very well with Swansea given the club's situation when he took over as manager.
