Swansea City are pushing to close a deal for SC Heerenveen goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt.

Swans have been in talks with the Swede for some months and are hoping to convince him about switching to Wales in the coming days.

Nordfeldt is keen on the move, but concerned about competing with Lukasz Fabianski to be Swansea's No1.

However, Swans boss Garry Monk is growing confident of winning over the Sweden international.

Swansea have lost goalkeepers Gerhard Tremmel and David Cornell this summer.
