Swansea boss Paul Clement has been speaking about midfielder Renato Sanches - on loan from Bayern Munich - who has not been in the last two matchday squads.

It has been reported he is set to leave his loan spell at Swansea early.

"I haven't had any communication with Bayern Munich regarding Renato Sanches' current situation," said Clement.

"Contractually I believe he has signed for the rest of the season.

"Renato is a very good player and I believe he can make a contribution for us but he needs to play up to his potential.

"Renato's confidence was low when he came here and it still is."
