Swansea City boss Clement won't seek Bartley replacement - for now

Swansea City boss Paul Clement says he won't return to the market to replace crocked defender Kyle Bartley.

Swans have confirmed that central defender Bartley could be missing for the next two months with a knee injury.

Clement has said he is unlikely to make any fresh moves in the transfer market despite an injury to Bartley.

When asked if he expected to look for defensive reinforcements before the transfer window closes, Clement told Sky Sports News: “Probably not. I expect we will stick with what we've got. We've got three good central defenders at the club.

“He was a player who did really well last season away on loan.

“The injury isn't as bad as it could have been so we are thankful for that, although he's going to miss what could be six-to-eight weeks – but not exactly sure."
