Swansea City powerbroker John van Zweden has dialed back comments about Fenerbahce striker Dirk Kuyt this week.
Van Zweden blasted Kuyt on Twitter after his collision in Holland training had left Swans midfielder Jonathan de Guzman injured and subsequently out of the Premier League opener against Manchester United.
This morning, Van Zweden remarked: "I think it's crazy that internationals are played in the week before the competition starts. Now Jonathan misses a great game. Truly bitter.
"For Dirk Kuyt, I have make no blame. Dirk is a top player who is always going at full tilt."
