Swansea chief scout Larsen: Big money doesn't gurantee best results

Swansea City scout Erik Larsen doesn't expect their Capital One Cup triumph to affect their transfer plans.

Even with the Europa League, Larsen says they'll stick to their tried and trusted methods of unearthing unknown gems like Michu.

Larsen said: "Our success will have no meaning - we always try to get the best we can. It is clear that there are some limitations, Swansea as such is not a club that is attractive to everyone. It is also about wages and transfers.

"It's not the price that determines the best performers. Michu is a very good example. The same as Chico Flores.

"Other players costing unceremoniously more."
