Swansea chairman Jenkins insists no need to sell best players

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins insists they do not need to sell their best players.

The latest to attract Premiership interest is Spanish fullback Angel Rangel, who is interesting Wigan Athletic and West Ham United.

"In the current climate and situation regarding the new rules, it is becoming very difficult to move players around freely," Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post.

"The way we work as a football club is within our budget. That's the sensible way to do things.

"It would make no sense getting rid of our top players. We need to make sure we keep hold of our better players to ensure we maintain the progress we have made over the last few seasons."
