Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins is delighted Brendan Rodgers will be committing to a new contract.
Swansea's style and spirit has also seen them attract widespread acclaim during their first season in the Premier League and Jenkins recognises that Rodgers is among the most talented young bosses in the game.
"Brendan has shown what he is capable of over the last couple of seasons and what he has done for us has been very pleasing.
"He is very important to us and that's not going to change, so it was very, very important to get the contract sorted out.""Brendan's new contract is very good news," Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post. "We are under no illusions about the fact that we have got one of the best young managers around working for our club.
