Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins is backing Jordi Gomez to make a big impact at Wigan Athletic.
"Jordi had a great season with us last year, and I fully expect him to make an impact at Wigan," Jenkins said.
"It's hard to know how some players will settle into a different environment and Premier League football.
"But I have to say that during his time with Swansea, he was a pleasure to watch and a big asset to our club.
"He is very inventive, very creative and he also scores goals. I am sure Roberto will get the best out of him. Wigan are very, very lucky to have him."
