Swansea chairman frustrated with transfer window

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins claims the South Wales outfit are being frustrated by a World Cup hangover. It is proving difficult to hold discussions with players who are yet to return for pre-season training and clubs who are reluctant to talk until they have contingency plans in place.

He told the Evening Post: "Garry would like to get a couple more players in and there are a couple more things we are trying to finalise.

"Things have not proved easy in the last couple of weeks.

"A lot of that is to do with the World Cup. Players are coming back late and clubs are coming back late.

"They are all waiting for developments themselves before they will do any business.

"It's been a hard spell for us but we will keep on working hard to get things right."
