Swansea City captain Gary Monk has hit out at their online critics.

Monk has been alerted to internet bloggers who constantly rubbish his team.

He insisted: "I take it with a pinch of salt but some of the things I use as motivation.

"People wrote us off last season when we were in the play-offs and we ended up promoted. This season they were saying we were favourites for the drop so there you go."
