Swansea City captain Ashley Williams is a target for Everton.

The Mirror says Everton have reignited their interest in Williams .

The Toffees are in talks with Manchester City over a deal for John Stones which is set to earn them over £50m.

And they are lining up a move for centre-back Williams as a replacement and to help bolster a defence that was the sixth worst in the league last season.

Williams has two years left on his current Swansea deal and could cost up to £10m.

The 31-year-old was a near ever present for Swansea last season, starting 36 of their 38 league games.
