Aston Villa defender James Collins is set to reject an offer from Swansea City.

The Mirror says Wales centre-back Collins has just one year left on his lucrative contract at Aston Villa.

And the 28-year-old has been linked with a return to the land of his fathers.

But Newport-born Collins is not about to sign for Brendan Rodgers' side if it means halving his current salary.
