Swansea boss urges Jordan Ayew to follow in footsteps of Andre

Paul Clement is hopeful that Jordan Ayew will follow his brother Andre by joining Swansea City.

Swansea are reported to have agreed a £5million deal with Aston Villa for 25-year-old Jordan and as part of the agreement, defender Neil Taylor will also be making his way to Villa Park.

The deal is not official as of yet though and Swansea boss Clement has expressed his hope that Ayew will follow in the footsteps of his elder brother, who is currently with West Ham United, by turning out for the Swans.

Clement said: "Hopefully he can follow in his brother's footsteps.

"He knows a lot about the club, I'm sure that's why he's happy to come here.

"He is doing really well at the African Nations Cup and we're bringing someone in with versatility and a different kind of striker to what we've got.

"Neil Taylor has been a great servant to the club and Villa will be a nice challenge for him."
