Swansea boss Rodgers not interested in succeeding Redknapp at Tottenham
Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers has ruled out replacing Harry Redknapp at Tottenham.
The Daily Star says Rodgers says he will not quit Swansea for Tottenham if Harry Redknapp takes the England job.
Rodgers, 39, has just signed a new three-and-a-half-year deal at the Liberty Stadium and insists he is there for the long haul.
“Anyway, you shouldn’t always believe the bookies’ odds. I think I was 50-1 to get the Swansea job.
“I do find it incredible. You sign a new contract and on the very same day you are already being linked with a move away.
“I am very, very happy here and so are my family. All I’m concentrating on at the moment is Swansea City.”He said: “Why would I want to move? I’m already at a top club. Swansea might not be in the Champions League or challenging for trophies, but I’m at a club that is run fantastically well.
