Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers hopes for two midfield signings this month.

Rodgers will not rest on his laurels and is ready to shake up his squad when the transfer window opens on January 1.

"We want to improve and want to be better," he told talkSPORT. "We are looking at a couple of midfield players, one that can maybe add a wee bit of penetration to our passing and a goalscoring midfield player that is flexible.

"It is not major surgery that is needed here because the players have been absolutely fantastic and they have really graced the Premier League marvelously, considering where they have come from.

"I just feel bringing in one or two fresh faces to support that will set us up and give us great hope going forward."
