Swansea boss Paul Clement reveals US tour plans

Swansea City boss Paul Clement says they're likely to tour the US this summer.

Last year Swansea headed to America under Francesco Guidolin for a training camp in Washington DC and two friendlies.

And Clement has confirmed a return to the US — Swansea's majority shareholders Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien are American — is on the cards.

Should a trip across the Atlantic be confirmed, it would mark the fourth time Swansea have prepared for a season there, having visited Colorado and California in 2012 and Milwaukee and Minnesota in 2014.

"The initial idea is to go to the United States and play three games," said Clement.

"We are still very much in the planning stage, but that is the initial idea.

"We would start our preparations here, then we would go out there for around 10 days more or less, and then we would finish back here before the season starts. We are looking at the East Coast."
