Swansea City boss Garry Monk is determined to hold onto Bafetimbi Gomis.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a January move to Crystal Palace, with reports in France suggesting Aston Villa and West Ham have joined the chase, after growing frustrated at his lack of game time and Swansea's lone striker system.
But provided he can hang on to the pair, Monk is ready to pair Gomis and Wilf Bony.
He said: "It has been really difficult for me because we have two excellent strikers and only one has been able to play.
"I have really thought about pairing them together but that is not easy when you are trying to get the players used to a way of working.
"But now we are getting through that period we can think about putting other systems in place in terms of a pairing so they both have that chance to show their qualities."
