Swansea City boss Garry Monk says Scott Sinclair should never have left them for Manchester City.

Sinclair is rediscovering his best at Aston Villa.

Monk said: "I don't know if Scott regrets moving, but it is more than likely that he would have played regular football had he stayed here.

"He had the ability to do that and the quality. He was at a place he was used to and he probably played the best football of his career at this football club.

"I am sure he went to City believing he would play regularly but it hasn't worked out for him.

"It is good to see him back playing with some confidence and I am sure he has a point to prove, but hopefully he won't score on Saturday."
