Swansea boss Monk plays down new Italian fame

Swansea City boss Garry Monk has played down his new celebrity status in Italy.

The Swans have a 100 per cent record from their first three games going into tomorrow's top-of-the-table clash with leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

It led Italian paper Gazetta dello Sport to name rookie boss Monk as one of the 'new magicians' of European football and depicted the 35-year-old as Harry Potter.

Monk said: "My brother did text me and called me Harry instead of Garry, and I just thought 'what is he on about? ' Then he explained.

"But look, it's only four games we've had.

"When people talk about you like that it's great and it means me, my staff and the players must be doing something right.

"The more times you can get mentioned like that means you are doing something well.

"We just have to make sure we keep on doing it.

"But I am not so sure about the wizard part of it. It's more hard work than magic."
