Swansea City boss Garry Monk says Stoke City rival Mark Hughes had a big influence on his playing career.
The pair played together at Southampton.
"Mark was a warrior, but he had quality to go with it and always led by example. He always wanted to win every game," recalled the 34-year-old. "Southampton was where I learned how to be a footballer. Then when I came to Swansea, I learned my football."
