Swansea City boss Garry Monk is delighted with the form of Gylfi Sigurdsson this season.
The midfielder faces former club Tottenham this weekend.
Monk said: "I would be highly motivated if I was in that situation, and I'm sure Gylfi is.
"He has trained well this week and looked sharp and ready for it. Hopefully we get to see a fully charged Gylfi for the weekend.
"Obviously we have discussed that he needs to focus on the team and not just himself.
"When he was here on loan he was always trying to prove a point by scoring goals, and you look at his time at Tottenham and it was the same because his game time was limited.
"So I told him he needed to settle down and be a midfielder, to still have that attacking threat but to recognise there are times to be deeper and help out and you can see that in his game."
