Swansea City boss Garry Monk insists Leon Britton is in his long-term plans.
Monk admits Britton has been frustrated this term, but insisted the fans' favourite still has a big part to play at the club.
The Swansea manager commented: "It's been a difficult season for Leon, he's had a niggly season and your body does change.
"The young players are hungry and pushing. You have to fight, but Leon has a lot to offer and will be integral to this team. He's got an important role to play here. He's such a professional and so influential. He's got many years left."
