Swansea City boss Roberto Martinez is desperate to hold onto on-loan Liverpool winger Paul Anderson.

"We want to keep Paul beyond this season and we'll do all we can to make that happen," the Spaniard told the News of the World.

"Rafa may not want that but I may have to give him a gentle nudge to persuade him. I have known Rafa well for some time know so I'm hoping that our good working relationship will work in Swansea's favour.

"Paul's still young so I'm hoping another year here will do him good. He has enjoyed his time here and improved as an all-round player. He has improved us and we've improved him and being able to keep someone like Paul will certainly help us progress as a club."
