Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup is eager to keep hold of on-loan Villarreal midfielder Jonathan de Guzman.

The Dutch midfielder, 25, joined the Swans on a season-long loan last summer after the Spanish club were relegated.

Laudrup said: "We haven't spoken to Villarreal about a long-term agreement but I would like Jonathan to stay. He is doing very well here."
