Swansea boss Laudrup: There is still more work to do

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup insists the club is working hard to bring in quality players this summer.

The Dane recently took the reins from Brendan Rodgers at the Liberty Stadium and is looking to strengthen the squad he inherited from the Northern Irishman in order to continue the progress of the ever-improving club.

"There's more work to do," Laudrup told the South Wales Evening Post.

"I don't want to say so much about the names, because we have to realise there are a lot of clubs in the same position as we are right now.

"We have to spend our money well. We have to do things quietly because if we talk too much, other clubs will say 'Oh, we would like that as well'.

"The only thing we do by mentioning names is put the prices up, and the only people who will be satisfied with that are the clubs who own the players.

"We cannot say so much, but we are working on things."

Two names being linked with Swansea at the moment are Middlesbrough striker Marvin Emnes and Wolves forward Kevin Doyle but nothing concrete has emerged.
