New Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup accepts there's doubters about his appointment.
The Great Dane replaced Brendan Rodgers in the Liberty Stadium hotseat last week - his sixth coaching post.
Laudrup said: "It's true that I have something to prove as a manager. The Danish league is the Danish league and, while some people from the UK might remember the season I had with Getafe, it was four years ago.
"In Spain I worked at the top level but this is different. It will be very difficult because normally you are from the country or have been playing there.
"When I was in Spain I was Michael Laudrup and I'd played for Barcelona and Real Madrid. It would be the same as if I'd played against Man United or Arsenal for ten years.
"So I have to show what I can do and that's fine. It suits me well. I am looking forward to competing at this level."
