Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup says England can win a major tournament.

Laudrup, a big fan of British football, believes the England team CAN win a major tournament.

But he reckons pundits have got to stop harping on about the influx of foreign players and managers and the effect they have on the national team.

He told The Sun: "Spain were no different to England until recent years.

"They were losing penalty shootouts and to last-minute goals, now they've won three in a row. There were a lot of foreign players in Spain and everyone blamed them - now no one is mentioning that, yet there are still as many of them in La Liga.

"But, of course, the longer England don't win since 1966, the more pressure that is put on them.

"The difference between England, Spain, France, Germany, Holland and Italy for example is not as great as people say. It's small details."
