Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup sees himself more as a coach than a manager.
Laudrup never used to see himself as a manager; in the British sense of the word, he still doesn't.
"I don't like the business side," he told the Daily Mail. "I love the football. I know there is a difference in cultures. Here, in the UK, it is a manager. At some clubs, you do it all. In Europe you are the trainer. I am happy leading the stuff on the pitch.' It was at Barcelona, under Cruyff's instruction, that Laudrup started asking the questions which would lead him into management.
"I have always had an analytical brain," he says. "But when I was younger I think I was like an actor, making movies and just doing what the director told me. Then I started thinking, "If I was director, I would do that scene differently'. I think I was about 28, at Barcelona, when I started thinking that way. I just grew into it, that coaching mindset."
