Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup was delighted with the performance of Garry Monk for their 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
Long-serving defender Monk made his first Premier League start of the season, and just his third appearance in all competitions, on Saturday after Chico Flores was ruled out through injury.
Laudrup told Wales Online: "It was a big performance and it's not easy when you don't play a lot to come in.
"Imagine coming in the other day (against Liverpool), nearly without a warm up, and then to go in and play against Suarez in a difficult moment when they were attacking us.
"Against Chelsea he played from the beginning but against Torres, Hazard and company.
"He did very well, and they did well from the back as well as the shape of the team, with the midfield as well, with Leon (Britton), with Ki (Sung-Yueng) and with Jonathan (de Guzman)."
