Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup hopes to spend in January.
The Dane says he has a healthy winter market budget.
"There is some money and I try to be realistic," said Laudrup. "We are always looking (for new players) for all 11 positions, because you never know in this business what happens.
"What happens if they sell one of your players? You must have a list of players for every position that we have made in the last three or four months.
"And you have to be prepared when the window comes. You cannot start when the shop opens and there are a lot of things going on.
"When I look at players I look first for quality, second do they fit into the environment of this squad - and then there is the salary and the fee."
