Swansea City manager Paul Clement has revealed that Angel Rangel is unlikely to play again this season.
The Spanish full-back suffered broken bones in his foot in last weekend's 2-1 loss to Hull City and underwent surgery earlier in the week which is expected to keep him out for the final few months of the campaign.
"Angel Rangel has had surgery on a broken bone in his foot," said Clement ahead of Saturday's trip to AFC Bournemouth.
"He actually tried to carry on in the game thinking he had rolled his ankle, but the scan showed a crack in the bone.
"The surgery is to quicken the healing process and he will be out for between eight and 12 weeks, so he is unlikely to play again this season."
