Swansea boss Clement: Wenger longevity just brilliant

Swansea City boss Paul Clement is full of praise for Arsenal rival Arsene Wenger.

Clement is in awe of his longevity.

"It's brilliant. It's a little bit more than 20 years and I didn't know anything about football then and now I am going up against a coach of that calibre and experience, it's exciting, just brilliant," said Clement.

"I have a massive amount of respect for his longevity which is extremely rare, he's done it winning trophies and playing an attractive style of football. He's been brilliant for the British game.

"I was a secondary school schoolteacher working part-time in Chelsea's centre of excellence (when Wenger took charge of Arsenal).

"I have faced Arsenal a number of times dating back to my time with Guus Hiddink and Carlo (Ancelotti) at Chelsea.

"I was in the academy when Jose Mourinho was the manager. I think that time we had the advantage over Arsenal. But that was a totally different era. They have got good footballers in their team, top-class players like Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, the particular ones who have been doing well this year. I also worked with Petr Cech at Chelsea."
