Swansea boss Clement confirms interest for West Brom attacker Chadli

Swansea City boss Paul Clement has admitted interest in West Brom midfielder Nacer Chadli.

However, Clement concedes Alan Pardew's appointment at Albion could stall the move.

“I think he is the right profile, without talking specifically about him," said Clement.

“He is a multi-position player. He can score, he can assist, he is decent on set-pieces. But it might prove difficult with him now.

“He has not played, he has been injured and now he has got a new manager and a clean slate."

In the past week Swansea have been linked with two full-backs in the former of Slavia Prague's Jan Boril and Augsburg's Daniel Opare.

Swansea are likely to look to recruit in that area in January, but Paul Clement was coy when a deal for Opare was put to him.

“The guys from our communication department wrote down a list of all the names we have been linked with, and it's a good list!" said Clement.

“I am not going to comment on individual players, there are some good players on there, and there are some I have not heard of."
