Swansea boss Clement confirms Curtis not part of his staff

Swansea City boss Paul Clement says Alan Curtis will not be part of his coaching staff.

Bob Bradley was sacked by the Welsh club, who have decided that Clement is the man to take them forward and fight to keep the club up in the Premier League.

As reported by the Daily Mirror, Clement said of Curtis: ''Alan has been here many years, a legend as a player, but the situation with Alan is we want him to stay at the club.''

''I've had discussions with Huw Jenkins today, as far as he's concerned Alan has a job here as long as he wants, for life if necessary.''

''He's respected by everyone at the club, but will be stepping down from first team coaching duties on the field. I hope he stays and that role will be discussed.''

Clement added: ''Credit to him for the other night , I only helped him when I could and he was responsible for the result and from what I know about Alan I can lean on him if I Need him.

"I'm sure there will be fans disappointed he's not involved he's' not involved in the first team but this happens all the time at other clubs.''
