Swansea City have officially appealed against the red card defender Federico Fernandez received during their 2-1 League Cup defeat by Liverpool. The 25 year old Argentinean was sent off for a lunge on Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho.
"It's clearly not a red card whatsoever," said Swansea boss Garry Monk after the match.
