Swansea and Brighton are battling against each other for the services of Arsenal right-back Carl Jenkinson, according to Daily Mail.

The 25-year-old is keen to secure his exit from Gunners as he is surplus to requirements at the club and could only manage only five appearances last season.

He came close to joining Crystal Palace in January, but a deal was never struck due to the wage issues.

Jenkinson joined Arsenal from Charlton Athletic in 2011 and managed to make 62 appearances for Arsene Wenger's side.
