Swansea alter summer plans after Texas tournament cancelled

Swansea City have been forced to change their pre-season plans after a tournament they were due to play in was cancelled.

The six-club, nine-day tournament in Dallas, Texas has been called off just six weeks out from kick-off date meaning the Swans will have to quickly alter their summer schedule.

The tournament was set to feature Chivas Guadalajara (Mexico), Malaga (Spain), Lyon (France), Pachuca (Mexico) and Raja Casablanca (Morocco) from July 11 to 19.

"We will announce the new plans as soon as they are confirmed," read part of a statement on Swansea's official website.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused our supporters."
