Swansea City are aiming to close their £2 million deal for Rayo Vallecano midfielder Michu today.

The Daily Mail says the 26-year-old, who scored 15 goals in La Liga last season, completed a medical in south Wales on Thursday and has agreed personal terms on a three-year deal at the Liberty Stadium.

Michu is the third new signing of Michael Laudrup's reign, following the arrival of midfielder Jonathan de Guzman on loan from Villarreal and the £2million signing of Chico from Genoa, and his arrival is seen as something of a coup at Swansea.
