Swansea again denied by Kuban in Europa League

Swansea City have again been cruelly denied maximum points by Kuban Krasnodar in the Europa League group stage.

The Jacks conceded an injury-time goal to the Russians at the Liberty Stadium a fortnight ago for a 1-1 draw and managed to exactly the same at the Kuban Stadium on Thursday night.

Wilfried Bony gave Swansea an early lead when he fired home inside ten minutes and it appeared as though the visitors would take all three points back to south Wales when Alexandre Xandao was sent off for a challenge on Alejandro Pozuelo with 15 minutes remaining.

However, Michael Laudrup's side allowed Ibrahima Balde space and time to strike the equaliser after two minutes of the four added minutes.

The draw leaves Swansea second on the Group A table, one point behind Valencia, with Kuban at the foot with two points from their two draws with the Swans.

Laudrup's team will now look forward to their November 28 home fixture against Valencia which could see them through to the knockout phase if they can achieve a positive result.
