Swansea ace Britton inspired by Man Utd legends Scholes, Giggs

Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton feels he has five more years left at the top.

The 5ft 6in Swansea midfielder will make his 400th appearance against Reading today. And having watched Manchester United old-timers Ryan Giggs, 38, and Paul Scholes, 37, Britton believes he can play on until at least 2017.

Britton, 30, who wants to end his career at the Liberty Stadium, said: "Giggs and Scholes are great role models and fantastic players who have won everything, are multi-millionaires but still want to play because they love the game.

"Nowadays, in football, if you look after yourself properly and live your life right, you have a great chance of going into your mid to late 30s.

"I'd like to feel that I could go on until I was at least 35. But I'm very proud to play 400 games for this football club.

"It's been a great nine or 10 years that I've been here. But it's not the end."
