Swansea accept Laudrup will leave at season's end

Swansea City accept they face losing manager Michael Laudrup in the summer.

The Daily Star Sunday says sources close to the Welsh club have admitted it was even touch-and-go whether the in-demand Dane remained with them coming into the current campaign.

But having managed to fend off interest in Laudrup, 49, from Chelsea, Real Madrid and PSG last summer, the Swans reckon it will be impossible to do so again next time round.

A Liberty Stadium insider revealed: “It’s hard to imagine Michael will be Swansea manager after next summer.

“Even this summer his future was in serious doubt because of the number of clubs who would like him as their coach. Michael remained loyal and stayed – but the chances of that happening again a year on must be slim.”
