Slavia Prague midfielder Dusan Svento is desperate to win a contract at Derby County.

Speaking to the economy daily newspaper HospodArske Noviny, he said: "I played one friendly match with Derby and trained once.

"The trainer (Billy Davies) looks good and so do the players. It will be great for me if this transfer is done.

"I felt I put in a good performance. I am happy with the way it went and I have heard that the head coach of Derby was also satisfied.

"The Premier League is the best competition not only in Europe but I think in the world.

"The opportunity to continue my career in the Premier League would be a dream come true."
