Greg Sutton is happy at Toronto FC, despite being exposed to last week's expansion draft. Goalkeeper Sutton said TFC boss Mo Johnston had assured him it was an extreme long shot that the expansion Seattle Sounders would take him in Wednesday's draft as the club already had signed Kasey Keller to be their starting keeper.
And Sutton's $157,560 US salary would have been way too much for a backup.
"I'm just happy (TFC) has managed to keep the core group of players together," Sutton said. "I think with this team we can not only make the playoffs next season but challenge for the MLS Cup."
