Sutton boss unhappy with Arsenal pie-eating behaviour of back-up keeper Shaw

Sutton United manager Paul Doswell was not impressed with Wayne Shaw's antics during the FA Cup encounter against Arsenal last night.

45-year-old Sutton goalkeeper Shaw grabbed a lot of attention in the build-up to the club's FA Cup 5th Round clash against Arsenal due to his larger than life presence and the veteran managed to further grab the headlines last night as he was captured eating a pie while the game between his side and the Gunners was still going on.

Later it was also revealed that Shaw visited the club bar during half-time and that his pie eating antics were a PR stunt in regards to a bet with the The Sun's 'SunBets', for which he might face disciplinary action from the Football Association.

While Shaw's actions during the game against Arsenal may have amused a lot of people, Doswell stated that such actions from the did not show non-league Sutton in the 'best light'.

Doswell said: "I think Wayne has become this global superstar on the back of being 23-stone.

“He's made that a chance to make some more media coverage off the back of it.

“The reality is I don't know but it wouldn't surprise me. I don't think it shows us in the best light."
