Surman pleased with new Wolves chance

Andrew Surman was happy his chance for Wolves in their defeat at Manchester United last week.

The England U21 midfielder dismissed criticism of manager Mick McCarthy's selection.

Surman said: "I don't think I played too badly against Manchester United and it was nice to get a start.

"It was good for me to get a game under my belt as it was for a lot of the other players who probably needed a game.

"It was a great place to play and a great experience for me.

It was unfortunate about the result but that is out of the way now and we have to look forward to Burnley."
