Newcastle United legend Malcolm Macdonald has slammed the club's insistence they won't prioritise the Cups next season.
Supermac wrote in the Evening Chronicle: "Newcastle United don't often say much, but when they do they certainly know how to inflame the fans.
"They still haven't learned that Geordies are aching to win a domestic trophy after 59 years.
"This week they reaffirmed their rigid stance on club policy - the FA Cup and League Cup doesn't matter.
"Really? REALLY? I'm so furious.
"For goodness sake, they are saying to their paying customers that United won't win a thing while Mike Ashley is in charge."
