Pini Zahavi remains hopeful of placing Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski at Chelsea.

The Sun says Chelsea could have the edge on their rivals in the chase for Lewandowski.

The Poland international has been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga champions after splitting with agent Cezary Kucharsk at the end of last season.

He swiftly linked up with super-agent Zahavi, who has been helping Chelsea with their transfer dealings this summer.

Zahavi assisted in the brokering of the deal with Napoli to release Maurizio Sarri.

And it is claimed he will be a 'major ally' for Chelsea in attempting to land Lewandowski.
